We have decided to have a Mixed Couples golf event once a month this season. The scheduled dates are: June 23rd, July 28th and August 25th. These three Mixed Couples events are going to have a different feel to them compared to the last few seasons. All players will tee off from the first hole beginning at 4pm, when they have finished their round a Fish Fry will be waiting for them in the clubhouse. The cost for these events is $20 member and $25 non member.

The final Mixed Couples will once again be the Night Golf. This is schedule for September 22nd with dinner starting at 6pm and golf commencing at 8pm.

We hope to see you at these events this season!

Upper Patio is Open

The Upper Patio is now open for the season. The regular hours of operation for the patio this season will be: Monday to Thursday 4pm - 10pm, Friday's 2pm to 10pm, Saturday's, Sunday's and Holiday's 11am to 7pm. Due to the enhanced atmosphere at the Shack the hours of operation of the Upper Patio will change daily based on usage. The last few seasons the patio has only been sporadically busy on certain day's of the week. Our plan this season is to open the Patio at the scheduled time each day but move this staff member to another area of service if needed. This may cause you to have to call downstairs for service during slower periods.

Pace of Play Policy

With the golf season fast approaching we would like to explain our new Pace of Play program.

Expected Pace of Play is 4 hours and 20 minutes.

1. The expected pace of play per hole is 14 minutes.
2. If your group has fallen out of position you will be notified by the Course Assistant.
3. If still out of position, your group will be notified that improvement must be made or your group
will be moved into position.
4. If improvement has not been made your group will be moved into position by the Course
Assistant.

If pace play continues to be an issue with member groups, the golf shop will notify the Course Captain.

At which time, the Board of Directors will notify offending groups about future course of actions.

Play Ready Golf

Some tips to play Ready Golf

1. Play the right set of tees
2. Players should not travel as a pack. Each player of the group should walk directly to his/her own
ball.
3. Begin reading the greens and lining up putt's as soon as you reach the green. Don't wait until
it's your turn to putt to start reading the green.
4. On the tee, pay attention to your partners drives. If they lose sight of their ball, you can help
direct them to it and avoid any searching.
5. When waiting on the tee for the group in front to clear the fairway, don't be so strict about
order of play. Let the shorter hitter-who can't reach the group in front anyway- go ahead and
hit.
6. Limit practice strokes to one or two at the most.
7. Do not bother marking lag putts-go ahead and putt out if it's short enough and you won't be
trampling on another players line.
8. Do not measure your speed by the group behind you.
9. If you feel that you are holding up the group behind you, step aside and wave them up.

Golf courses that offer an enjoyable pace of play can afford to provide a better product (course
conditions) and a higher level of service (customer service).
